Dutch Masters Spring Centerpiece Still Life Class

In this workshop, Page Price from The Rural Society flowers will reference the evocative still-life paintings from the Dutch “Golden Age.” Students will be using vibrant Tulips, Daffodils, Hellebores, Fritillaria, Flowering Branches - all of these spring beauties will be your working palette inspired by Old World elegance. A lovely vessel will be yours to keep so you can recreate your own floral masterpiece after the blooms fade. We will be demonstrating a modern renaissance tablescape so your style will be the envy of your holiday event. Wine and appetizers will be served in this fun, hands-on class!

English High Tea Greenhouse Celebration

We are thrilled to invite you to celebrate the official opening of our English, antique Lord & Burnham Greenhouse! Dine on tea cakes, biscuits, tea sandwiches while sipping a lovely selection of historically significant, organic, traditional English teas as well as other British inspired libations (GIN!). Our speaker, Angela Strock-Gotthardt, from The Secret Tea Society of Hudson, Ohio, will inspire you to incorporate tea to improve your health and enhance your lifestyle. Hats and fascinators are strongly encouraged as their will be special prizes given to those who wear it best. Page Price of The Rural Society flowers will offer you 3 trending floral color palettes of gorgeous annuals to choose from. Prepare to get your hands dirty and enjoy a glass (or 2!) of wine! Spring Herb & Berries Cocktail and Appetizers Class

Prepare for Spring & Summer cocktailing with Lehne Runyon from Short & Stout Bar! She will guide you through the basics of mixing together delicious drinks that are sure to please your guests and make your outdoor parties the talk of the town! We will use home grown herbs and berries to accent and offer appetizer pairings perfect for Summer. Each guest will leave with herbs to plant, recipes to keep and a bar tool essential for mixing.

Painting Spring Flowers

Join Alison Shakelford from Script 14 as she leads you through botanical watercolor painting. In this class you will learn basic brush strokes and sketching techniques that will help you document your favorite blooms. We will have inspirational spring florals creating a wonderful still life scene. You will take home a watercolor starter kit and a few The Rural Society blooms to continue your artistic pursuits. BYOB as appetizers will be served while you work!
